Beach ball fans in western Canada have been holding out on us. Did you know that at the West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton, Alberta, you can take a spin IN a beachball? No, really. You can rent time to play inside a giant clear beachball, with a zipper in it so that you can climb in and out. Theatre fans in the NYC area may want to check out a new play by Jason Schafer called I Google Myself opening June 14 at Under St. Marks. It is the unusual story of three very different men with the same name. One is a gay porn star with a dirty little secret. One is a stoner mechanic who blogs poetry and has anger management issues. And another is a wily stalker with a balloon fetish, desperate to make a connection. Their worlds collide when one man Googles his own name to find others who share his moniker. Have you seen the TV commercial for Yoplait yoghurt? It features a pretty girl wandering through the city towards the beach, hiding behind a bright red airmat. The entire ad runs to the song ‘Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini’ and her cute bikini is revealed at the end. I saw it on tv tonight and immediately went to You Tube to find a clip.
